Cafe Information

Here is some information about the lunch program that is good to know:

For Students:

Use of lunch cards: Lunch cards are only for purchasing lunch with. They cannot be used to purchase drinks or cookies.

Lunch line up: Students lining up after the bell to purchase lunch are asked to be respectful by going to the back of the line and patiently waiting their turn.

For Parents:

Purchasing lunch cards: Lunch cards can be purchased by sending cash or cheque payable to WSS PAC in increments of $50 for 10 lunches. You can also pay online via PayPal by going to our payments page.

Financial assistance: The Whistler Secondary School Parent Advisory Council (WSS PAC) has partnered with Whistler Community Services Society (WCSS) to provide the school lunch fund program this school year. The program provides two hot lunches a week to a student who is financially restricted. A similar program also exists for elementary school children. For more information about this program and the application process, please contact an outreach worker at WCSS directly at 604-932-0113. Please note that all applications and inquires are completely confidential.

PAC fundraising: The lunch program is the primary source of fundraising for the WSS PAC. Each year, in conjunction with provincial gaming grants and the WB Foundation, the PAC helps to fund various school improvements, programs, and services. These include, but are not limited to, classroom items (sewing machines) and programs (robotics), school items (additional WIFI access, piano, microwaves), parent resources (inspirational speakers), student support (scholarships, clubs, grads, sports programs), and so much more. Thank you for supporting your WSS PAC.
